Felt Flowers

I've gotten a few comments at church and the blog about the felt flowers I made. I was inspired by a cute baby at church with the cutest flowers but I have no skill in free-hand cutting out flowers! So I did some etsy and blogger and google investigation, and I followed this video:

It was easy once you got the hang of it. The tweezers holding everything taut were essential. Then I bundled up a few of the flowers, backed it with more felt and attached a clip!

So easy!
I didn't use "felt glue". I just used my hot glue gun. It felt more secure too!

felt+hot glue=NOT going anywhere!

post-edit:
I got my felt at Hobby Lobby but you can buy it by the yard at fabric stores if you're really serious about this! :) Hobby Lobby felt is about a 9" square and I could get three to four good flowers out of it.

Stay tuned tomorrow for close-up pics of the ones I made!

THANK YOU! I just finished watching the tutorial. I will be buying felt very, very soon! Where did you buy your felt, by the way? I can't wait to make these flowers!

Oh my gosh, that is the most awesome tutorial I have ever seen -- my 12-year-old son and I just made our first one from blue felt. It's not perfect but it's pretty amazing, I am really excited about the possibilities. BTW, I love the flower frame you made with your flowers in the tutorial. Great job!!! Thank you!
