Halloween Sunday Best??

So, here's my question:

if you made your daughters some cute Halloween skirts and Halloween is on a Sunday this year, can they wear said skirts to church??? Is that kosher?

for the sake of any sacrilegious arguments, the fabric prints are bats, spiders, candy and owls. No witches or skeletons or ghosts to be found.

So, appropriate or tacky???

If you want my two cents, I think they are fine due to their age and I bet they look adorable.

I fully believe that Sunday dress is entirely up to the person. No one can tell anyone else what is right to wear. That being said I think they are fine.

Last Sunday my Relief Society Pres wore black tights that had silver spider webs on them. . . I think you're safe :)

I was wondering the same thing, just didn't get around to putting up a poll on my blog. Maci has a little witch dress, that is only a witch dress if you add a had, but has gold and black and stars, and very costumey so she can't wear it other times, but would still be fun to dress up a bit. My mother in law said she thought it'd be fun, so we're going for it!

She's 4, she could wear a leotard and tutu to church and no one would think twice. You'd be fine, think of all the girls who show up in their not so appropriate prom dresses.....it's all in fun.

I say if it is modest and doesn't have offensive words or imagery, it is totally appropriate to wear to church. So I say go for it!

Maybe it is the pagan aspect of the holiday that gives you pause, but would you think twice about snowflakes, flowers, hearts, even pumpkins? So why not bats, spiders, candy?

The skirts are adorable and fun!
