Olympic Symbols

We (W, me, Jeff and Katie) were wondering tonight more about the Olympic rings.  I remembered that the colors represented colors that appear on all national flags (each flag has at least one of the five colors on them) and that there were five rings for five continents but we couldn't figure out why only five. We learned it's because the Americas is considered one.  But we had a lot of fun on Wikipedia learning about Olympic mascots.  Especially Barcelona's cubist sheepdog, Sydney's "Fatso the fat-arsed wombat" and the up and coming sasquatch  and mythical orca-bear for Vancouver in 2010.  We had a good laugh!

That is just the funniest mascot ever! But hey, instead of surfing the internet for Olympic trivia, you should be packing your bags to head to the hospital. It's a full moon out there - what are you waiting for?
Have you taught W how to keep the blog going while you are busy for a couple days? Just kidding, W will be busy too.
Love,
G Jan

We thought the 5 rings were the 5 continents involved. So antarctica didn't count. Making it north america, south america, africa, europe, and asia....same thing though. :D
